In 1995 Dieter Hein returned to his hometown Görlitz and together with Georg Hein his son, they continued the family tradition by founding the Niederschlesische Wurstmanufaktur. Since then this company has been producing traditional Lower Silesian specialities.
In the thirties Dieter’s father Georg Hein owned a butchers shop in Gorlitz, which made traditional Lower Silesian products, today Hein’s Niederschlesische Wurstmanufakatur continues the family tradition by producing kettle cooked hams and Silesian smoked sausages made with breadcrumbs according to tradional family recipes.
