In remembrance of Oma Hein's 100th birthday

A rustic autumn evening in our butchers shop

On 9th November 2009 Oma Hein would have been 100 years old, in remembrance of her life, Hein butchers shop invited over 40 customers to a rustic autumn evening of gourmet cooking.
The Family Dierker, their team and the chef Thorsten Quindt prepared and served a hearty feast:

  • Oma Hein’s smoked and unsmoked pork sausage served with Grünkohl ( green cabbage)
  • To celebrate Westphalia peace: Münsterländer Wurstebrot and Osnabrücker Stopsel with apples
  • Original Lower Silesian red and white wellwurst ( similar to black pudding and white pudding)

As well as our specialties for November and December:

  • Original Lower Silesian Christmas Bratwurst with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes.

To compliment, this evening fresh  Görlitz Landskron beer, wine and soft drinks were served, this ensured it was a truly socialable evening.

New styled HEIN delicatessen

After its refurbishment, the Hein delicatessen, with its deli/ bistro and Görlitz bar, which serves local beers from Görlitz, looks fantastic. Situated in the L & T Markthalle in Osnabrück, you can now enjoy traditional products from across Germany, in our restyled comfortable eatery. Relax and enjoy a wonderful meal or if you have a little less time take one away with you.
Bernd Rumker our gourmet chef will cook traditional delicacies in our open plan kitchen.
Our international ham counter presents, specialties from the North Sea island of Borkum, our air dried Borkum dune „Mettwurst“. Connoisseurs of traditional German goods will marvel at the con-tents of our original Lower Silesian specialties counter. A freshly drawn original Görlitzer Landkrone Pils from our Görlitz bar, tastes fantastic with all of treats. Let us spoil you with our service and delicacies in the L&T Markthalle.
