An award for lasting quality.
This outstanding success was celebrated by EG Fleischwarenfabrik Dieter Hein from Hasbergen. The company was honoured with a gold award (Preis der Besten) by the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft - German Agriculture Association). This famous quality award from the DLG is awarded for companies that consistently produce top quality products within the European food industry. This year, the awards ceremony took place at the DLG food day’s exhibition at the premises of the ‘Confederation of German food industry’ in Darmstadt.
During the awards ceremony DLG-president Carl-Albrecht Bartmer praised the high and long-standing quality of the company by saying: ‘With the quality performance you showed, you belong to the “Club of the Best”. You have achieved this formidable award by working hard towards, con-sistent quality over many years. So by building on your quality you have once more demonstrated the continued excellence of your products.
The gold award is given only to businesses that have achieved annual top performances at the in-ternational DLG quality test for sausages and ham. To achieve this gold award companies must have proved their quality performances for more than 15 years. This is achieved by yearly DLG quality tests. For first five years of successful participation in the DLG awards they receive bronze award. A silver award is presented from ten years on. This year, 278 top companies in the meat production industry were awarded the ‘Preis der Besten’ awards.
